We had to take out insurance through Arquia when we bought the flat as they arranged the loan. Otherwise we would have gone to Jori Armengol who arranged all our other insurance policies.
The policy started off a bit pricey but okay in Dec-2021 at €311,58 (Jori Armengol quoted 256 – 291€), but the price went up each year, and by 2024 was €399,84 (almost 100€ more than 4-2), the policy didn’t include any content just building, and didn’t reflect the renovated state. So last week I got in touch with Arquia (turns out the Mandri branch manager Artur Roch has recently passed away so now I’m dealing with Jose Miguel Fontcuberta Querol, jmiguel.fontcuberta@arquia.es, not the manager but my insurance contact) asking to arrange a better policy.
José Miguel has done so with a policy from Occident for 339,85€/year starting 1-dec-2025 and cancelling the Mapfre policy when it ends on 22-dec-2025. The new policy has building insurance of 206,189€ and content of 20,000€ plus other details (see policy)

5-Nov-2025 I have signed up for the Occident app, installed on my phone. It only has the 3-2 policy associated with my NIE, no mention of the Begur policy in the App and online.
12-Nov-2025: I signed the new policy online by SMS today, it takes effect on 1-dec-2025. Total cost for year 2025-26 €339,85, charging to Arquia loan account.
